"The Spook Who Sat By the Door" remains one of the few uncompromised representations of black armed resistance in the United States, as both a novel and a film. The work was recognized as a 2012 selection to the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress. On February 17th, 2013, the DuSable opens its doors for a public screening and reception. Author Sam Greenlee joins a panel of fellow artists and activists to speak about the book and production of the film.
